Buy your ticket up to two months in advance
Orange Fri tickets are put up for sale two month before the date of departure, and the sooner you can plan your journey, the cheaper the tickets and the more departures you can choose from.
You can also find Orange Fri tickets close to departure, but prices vary depending on how attractive the individual departure is.
Extra discount for students, young people, children and senior citizens
The Orange Fri tickets are even cheaper if you are aged 16-25, have turned 65 or if you are enrolled in an educational programme that entitles you to receive the Danish State Educational Grant. You can actually save up to 78% compared to a standard adult ticket if you plan ahead and book early.
Bring two children free of charge
With an Orange Fri ticket, you can bring two children under the age of 12 free of charge. If you are bringing older children (12-15 years old) or more children, they get a 50% discount on the already cheap Orange Fri tickets.

If you travel by InterCity or InterCityLyn, you can always buy a Seat Reservation. If you travel by regional train, it is only possible to buy a Seat Reservation for certain departures.
If you have bought Seat Reservation together with an Orange Fri ticket, you can get your money back until 30 minutes before departure.

No, unfortunately it is not possible to get a Seat Reservation for DSB 1´ with an Orange Fri ticket. If you want to travel on DSB 1´, you can choose a standard single-ride ticket or Rejsekort.
