Travel safely with a children’s guide

✔  Children aged 4-15, who are travelling alone on the train can buy a ticket with a children’s guide.

✔  Only available for long distances, and weekend journeys.

✔  Remember to make a seat reservation for the carriage with a children’s guide.

You buy the ticket at +45 70 13 14 15, or in DSB Salg & Service at the central stations in Copenhagen, Aarhus or Odense. The price is regular child fare + approx. 50%.

Make the reservation early

You can buy the ticket and reserve a seat for the carriage with a children’s guide up to two months before the departure date – and reserve a seat for the return trip at the same time.

However, for InterCityLyn on the Copenhagen-Odense line you can only make a reservation one week before departure.

Remember to pick up the seat reservation at least four days after your call, otherwise we will cancel your reservation, so that others can get the seat. If you make the reservation less than four days before your child’s journey, the seat reservation must picked up the day after your reservation.

Child with special needs?

Unfortunately, disabled children or children who require special help, e.g. taking medicine or help going to the toilet cannot travel with a children’s guide.

Your child must also be able to carry his/her own bag. Remember to write name and address on the luggage.

Remember the accompanying letter

Remember to fill out the accompanying letter which your child must bring on the journey so that we have the contact information on the person who dropped off the child and the person who will pick up the child.
